Microneedling & Nanoneedling

Microneedling for Improved Skin Texture, Fewer Surface Wrinkles, Scars and Large Pores

Microneedling is a minimally-invasive cosmetic procedure using a pen with tiny needles that penetrate to the deep level of the dermis.  It aides in reducing the appearance of scars, fine lines and wrinkles, enlarged pores, uneven skin tone and hyperpigmentation.  It improves the elasticity of skin and has even been known to help encourage hair growth in thinning hair due to genetics.  Microneedling is safe for all skin tones

Nanoneedling is a non-invasive cosmetic procedure using a pen with tiny cones that do not penetrate the skin, but instead work only on skin’s surface.  This procedure helps resurface the skin, improves product intake, boosts hydration and gives the skin a youthful glow.  Each treatment includes a gua sha treatment for facial sculpting and massage.

FAQs

Q:  How long does a microneedling treatment last?

A:  Treatments usually last approximately 30 - 45 minutes.

Q:  Where can microneedling be done?

A:  It can be done on the face, neck and upper chest.  Because numbing cream is used to increase patient comfort, a treatment will either be on the face and part of the neck or the neck and upper chest.

Q:  How often can I have a treatment?

A:  Treatments are recommended no more than once a month, but regular monthly sessions will help reinforce positive changes in the surface of your skin.  If you would like to work on more than one area, treatments can be done twice a month, once on each area.

Q:  Does microneedling hurt?

A:  The needles are microscopic and people have described the feeling as similar to a vibrating cat's tongue. A topical numbing agent will be applied to the pertinent areas to make the treatment more comfortable for you.

Q:  When will I see results?

A:  In general, patients will notice changes to skin tone and tautness a week or two after their first session. Areas with deeper imperfections require more time and treatment to effect changes. Since it takes six to eight weeks for new collagen and elastin to build up in the skin, you should see positive changes developing over six months.

Q:  How long will my results last?

A:  Although we can not stop the aging process, the improvements from microneedling can often be seen for several years after treatment.
